Limestone crushing

RCL’s L&T Hazemag, a German-made impact crusher, is then used to crush 1,200mm limestone boulders into 70mm limestone pieces. These crushers utilize a rotor fixed with heavy duty blow bars, as well as hydraulic-operated heavy duty aprons to withstand the impact of the limestone, and also a grinding path to ensure a uniform 70mm product size, suitable for further grinding in our raw mill.

In this stage of the production process, the apron feeder uniformly pushes the limestone boulders into the crusher. The hydraulic, adjustable impact aprons are provided to break the limestone boulders into smaller pieces. The crusher rotor’s heavy duty blow bars crush any hard limestone remaining. The crusher is also equipped with a misting water spray system and back filters to reduce dust emissions from our plant.

The crusher discharge conveyor belt is fitted with automatic pneumatic samplers to collect the ROM limestone samples periodically for chemical analysis. XRF technology is used to obtain the chemical composition of the limestone within one minute, allowing our production specialists to monitor our quality in effective real-time and to make quick, corrective quality adjustments if needed.
