Safety - way of life

At Priya Cement, safety is embedded across every shift, every site visit and every decision made on the plant floor. Both integrated plants in Suryapet, Telangana and Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh operate under ISO 45001:2018 certified occupational health and safety management systems, supported by programmes, infrastructure and training designed to protect every employee, contractor and visitor who walks through our gates.

Our safety culture in practice

01

Behaviour Based Safety

The Safety Starts With Me campaign drives behaviour-based safety across both plants, encouraging employees and contractors to take personal ownership of safe practices on site every day.

02

Monthly safety themes

Every month, a dedicated safety theme is observed across both plants as part of the EHS calendar, keeping hazard awareness active and safety engagement consistent throughout the year.

03

Life Saving Rules

A structured Life Saving Rules programme defines the non-negotiable safety behaviours at Priya Cement. Awareness sessions, visual displays and regular reinforcement ensure every person on site understands and follows them.

04

Near-miss reporting

Employees and contractors are encouraged to report near-misses, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions as soon as they are observed. Every report is tracked and closed systematically.

05

Clean Site Safe Site

5S campaigns run across both plants to maintain safe, organised and hazard-free working environments. A clean site is a safe site, and both plants are held to that standard.

06

Daily toolbox talks

Every shift begins with a toolbox talk or gate meeting, a brief, focused safety conversation that primes teams on the specific risks of the day's work before operations begin.

07

National Safety Day and Week

Both plants observe National Safety Day and Safety Week with structured campaigns, competitions and recognition events that reinforce safety culture beyond day-to-day operations.
